Wwoofing in Belgrade

Ten organic households were presenting and selling their products such as vegetables, craft-works, sprouts, teas, nature cosmetics, Serbian popular specialties ajvar and rakija-brandy and many more. Among them, there were two new hosts introduced in public for the first time. This event was organized to give a chance to public to meet WWOOF movement, its hosts, their organic products and WWOOFers in person. And of course, hosts to meet and share their experiences in order to become more open and hospitable in future.

More than 150 visitors came to Belgrade club Joao to support local economy. There were a lot of children who were brought by their parents and entertained by jongleurs-volunteers. Some bloggers reported about it saying that “The success of this event shows the huge potential for organic agriculture in Serbia, and the interest of Beograd’s population.”
