EARP ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM - (DEADLINE: ongoing)

- Duration: 1 weeks to 36 months
- Eligibility: Any creative individual working in any media.
- Costs & Support: The costs: 15 euros a day for food and free shared living facilities, bathroom, kitchen, internet, electricity, water, cleaning and artist support. Studio space available in the residency .Successful applicants will be responsible for all other costs including food, transport, travel costs, insurance and art materials. Materials such as canvases could be purchased on site but you have to bring your own working mediums and materials, (such as paints, brushes etc)...

DESCRIPTION:
Erdevik Artist Residency Program (EARP) is open to all artists and creative individuals, working in any discipline such as land and environmental art, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, video and film, collage, mosaic making, writers, artist working with sound and music etc…. EARP is a creative centre for collaboration, critical dialogue, openness, sharing ideas, for exploring a new creative potential for producing new works and building something which will last far longer than the time spent in the residency… Collaboration is a mutually beneficial and well-defined relationship between two or more creatives and proved very popular in this residency. Many artists established relationships with fellow artists, locals, musicians, writers and film makers.
Information EU citizens, the USA and Canada do not need visas for Serbia but as Serbia is not in EU you will need your passport.
The currency in Serbia is the DINAR sign as RSD and the most banks abroad don’t stock the Dinar currency.
You can buy your currency at Belgrade airport when you arrive or you could use Euros which majority shops take. MasterCard and Visa are generally accepted in shops, cafes and restaurants. Serbia is a 3G zone meaning you could call any part of the world from Serbia, using telephone connections.
About Erdevik Erdevik is a small village with only one pub, bakery and the small market held only on Thursdays. Artist Residency house has a large organically grown garden using Permaculture principals. Erdevik is surrounded by two lakes Moharac and Bruje and National park Fruska Gora. If you like outdoor activities, swimming in the lake, camping, fishing or cycling and being creative then this is the right place for you. Culture, customs and colourful costumes of the multitude confessional society of Erdevik is exciting, represented by Serbs, Slovaks, Croats, Hungarians, and Ruthenia’s, Montenegrians, Macedonians, Slovenians, Yugoslav and others. Erdevik is rich in vineyard and it is presumed that the first vineyards in Erdevik were established as early as 276 AD, during the reign of the Roman Emperor Probes’ who brought wine to the region of Srem. Wine is the symbol of the Erdevik village.
The EARP programme invites new or established artists to explore their own practice, collaborate and experiment with diverse range of media. There will be opportunity not only to produce new work but also to engage with local community, create connections, collaborate and establish networks, and exhibit the works produced at the residency.
Applications:
Open call! You should include a portfolio – documentation of work (up to 10 images, video max. 3minutes), short text – and a project proposal or a short motivational letter (1 A4) or provide a link of your website , blog etc. •Please submit your portfolio electronically . It matters a lot that the work is better or not.. It should be possible if you'll be apply at a residency letter of interest. Thank you for your post.
